Benevolence Fund
Created in
2005, the Benevolence Fund has allowed the enhancement of
aid for both Permanent Injury and Memorial Benefits
candidates. The fund permits the association to provide aid
in special needs and hardship cases that extend beyond those
covered by the current Permanent Injury and Memorial Benefit
policies. In six years of existence, this fund has afforded
the opportunity to provide over $100,000.00 in financial
assistance.

Currently
the primary source of funding for the Benevolence fund
is the "Our Day to
Shine" Campaign. Admission donations
collected at participating high school pre-season
scrimmages and spring games have totaled nearly
$130,000.00 since 2005.

Through
the Permanent Injury Program, the Memorial Benefits
Program and the Benevolence Fund the THSCA has gifted
nearly $800,000.00, to players and coaches of Texas.
